Although trips to the big city can be fun, they probably aren’t what you are looking for on every vacation. During this time when many things are closed, you may want to try to find somewhere secluded where you can still spend time with your family but enjoy a change of scenery. Here are a few great places to consider.
The Beach
Although you may not want to visit a crowded beach at the moment, there are other options available. Smaller, less popular beaches can allow you to easily social distance while still enjoying some sun. If you’re currently working from home, you can look at North Carolina coast rentals and find a house to stay at and still get your work done while on vacation. Some beaches are only open certain hours now, so if you do want to take a trip, look into the restrictions before you go.
The Cabin
It doesn’t get much more secluded than a quiet cabin in the woods. This can be on a lake or up in the mountains depending on what you prefer. You’ll be able to hike and enjoy nature and social distance at the same time. If you aren’t going to be near a grocery store, make sure to bring as much as you possibly can so that you won’t have to drive in for supplies later on. You can bring games, puzzles and other entertainment for the days that you aren’t able to go enjoy the outdoors.
The Campground
If you have an RV, this is the perfect time to make use of it. Travel to different campgrounds, and spend time away from the city. Even if you don’t have a camper, you can still go set up a tent at a campsite. Just make sure you have all the necessary supplies before you head out. It’s also a good idea to look into what the campgrounds’ guidelines are in regards to social distancing so that you are keeping your family and others safe.
A getaway may not seem possible right now, but if you find the right place, it may be just the thing you need. These are the types of places where you can go and still enjoy yourself while easily social distancing from others. If your family is struggling with being stuck at home, consider escaping to one of these places even for just the weekend.
